Eastern Europe is in crisis and we CAN help!
The people of Ukraine are wedged between two of our long-term project partners – our partners in Romania and our partners in Russia. Because of these relationships in both countries and the friendships and connections with Ukraine, we are well-positioned to reach out and help.
Last year, we were able to equip and send teams to both the border of Ukraine and into Ukraine itself (Chernivtsi) to take much-needed supplies and see the need first-hand. We were able to assist directly in March, June and October of 2022.
Since then, we have been able to send funds to two foundations (Orphanages) both working directly with Ukrainian children, who have been displaced since the war began.
Our founders Sue and Carl visited displaced Ukrainian children and adults in both Bulgaria and Romania earlier in 2023. Since that time we have been funding a school for 80 Ukrainian children in Medias, Romania, and employing Ukrainian teachers to bring the lessons. More children from Ukrainian orphanages are expected to arrive late 2023.
We have been also assisting regular food and hygiene parcels to around 800 displaced Ukrainian people in Sofia, Bulgaria.
To care for these children in a long-term and sustainable way we do need regular funds to house, feed and bring hope and education.
